About me

I'm here to help you walk your own path, not to walk it for you. Your goals lead the way.

My path to private practice has been shaped by a diverse range of experiences. Early in my career, I worked in community mental health, which provided me with a wide exposure to different mental health conditions and a deep understanding of the challenges people face. I then spent several years working in corrections, both inside and outside of correctional institutions. These experiences gave me a unique perspective on resilience and the complex issues that impact people's lives. I transitioned to private practice to create a space where I could build strong, lasting therapeutic relationships. Here, I have the opportunity to move beyond short-term interventions and truly get to know my clients on a deeper level, allowing for more profound and meaningful therapeutic work.

I provide the insights and tools; you create the momentum.

True growth comes from within. I guide you through a process of self-discovery, illuminating your strengths and identifying hidden opportunities. The tools I offer aren't just quick fixes; they're foundations for sustained progress. As you apply these insights, you'll feel the momentum build towards a powerful, self-generated force that propels you toward your goals, long after our work together is complete.

Coming to therapy can feel scary and overwhelming. You might feel uncertain or even a little bit skeptical. It takes courage just to be here, and I want you to know that your courage isn't overlooked.

My Approach

Your journey in therapy is unique, and my approach is designed to honor that. While the path is yours to walk, I will be an active guide and partner along the way. Our work together is built on the following principles:

  • A Foundation of Safety: Before any real work can begin, you must feel safe. I prioritize creating a non-judgmental and completely confidential space where you can let your guard down. Building a trusting rapport is the most important first step we will take together.

  • Compassionate Directness: I will not ask you to spend months talking around an issue. My approach is direct, honest, and focused on getting to the core of your challenges. I will offer clear observations and ask powerful questions to help you gain momentum, always with empathy and respect.

  • No Topic is Off-Limits: This is a space for radical honesty. From professional burnout to intimate relationship dynamics, from past trauma to future fears, all topics are welcome here. You can speak freely without fear of shocking or burdening me.

  • An Invitation to Go Deeper: I will encourage you to move beyond surface-level answers and dig into the "why" behind your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Lasting change comes from understanding your own patterns, and I will help you develop the insight to do so.

We are a good fit if —

  • You are ready to be challenged to make meaningful changes, not just talk about them.

  • You value a direct and genuine approach, and you're ready to show up as your authentic self.

  • You are seeking a safe and compassionate space to explore your challenges openly, knowing you'll be met with honesty and support.

We are not a good fit if —

  • You are looking for someone to give you easy answers without doing the hard work yourself.

  • You are more interested in a quick fix than in making lasting, meaningful change.

  • You aren't ready to take an active role in your own healing and growth journey.

My purpose is to offer you a space where you don't have to hold it all together. Here, we can explore the patterns of stress, self-criticism, and communication that are keeping you stuck. Together, we'll work to build genuine confidence from the inside out and foster the kind of meaningful connections you deserve—starting with the relationship you have with yourself.
